I am looking for an new output transformer that will work in a Fender Champ 12.
I have elimated the hum with new 100uf power caps, got the reverb to work by putting in a new
6L6. Just hoping I can get a little more out of this monster.
Thanks,
RichieA

A Hammond 1750B should work.

I'm not shure you may have more output with new OT and 6L6 , just more clean.
You may also need more power from PT

Thanks guys. I thought that Hammond would work.
Im hoping to get a little more reverb, but the 6L6 helped.
Power to reverb comes from the OT.
This ampget 496 volts B+.
The gain channel is really great.
In the day I had the Champ 12. And the Super 60.
I played hundreds of gigs with the 60, and it held up really well.
Finally I could no longer pick it up.
This was my first post on the board, thanks again.

I did some of these mods to my Champ 12, worked well. I don’t think more B+ I’d going to make the amp sound better, the reverb is what it is, not good.
The mods made my champ’s distorted channel much more useable, nice clean channel too. I did upgrade the OT with a Hammond of the same specs.
Try a 12ay7 or better 5751 in first preamp.
