HI
I'm reaching out to anyone who knows these amps. I know they have history with the 360's. In my case I'm asking about the 150B. The 110 watt SS bass amp. Recently I bought the amp with its matching cab that have 2- JBL K140's loaded in it.The cab was expected to be amazing but what's an eye opener is the amp. When I played through it, it set me back how responsive and transient it was. There are only 2 other amps that I've had that experience with- a SVT and Fender/Sunn 300T. My tube amps- Sunn 2000s, Traynor YBA-3 Custom and Fender Super Twin are great but something with this Acoustic jumped out at me. My tube amps are all up to date, sounding fine, and all have cap jobs and up to date. The odd thing is if you look inside the case there only 3-4 boards but a huge cap.
I'm not saying there's something wrong, only that the Acoustic jumped out at me and the bass was very responsive .
Thanks

Nothing here to share regarding the design or service.
But I had an Acoustic 136 as a teen-something, which I believe was a similar/same or derivative circuit of the 150. Similar wattage built into a folded horn combo w/1-15".
I remember it not being loud enough & being stupid heavy for it's size. Pretty common assessments back then!
It would be fun to play through one now with all these years passed by.

150b was later renamed 140. i've had 5 or 6 of em. i pick em up broken, repair, and move them on to someone who could use such a LOUD (don'tcha love 100w-rated solid state amps that actually produce 100wrms?!) amp. dead simple and easy to work on (as long the interstage transformer isn't toasted). i've found that the big power resistors on the little board tend to get TOASTED (some to the point that the traces become lifted) so this is one of the first places i look/throw overrated modern replacement metal oxides (most of the ones i've picked up have had issues here, fuzzing/cutting out on low notes)

I cannot believe how punchy scary this amp is
