When I updated to DIYLC v. 4.35 last month, I found that all of my Favorites and Building Blocks were gone; the toolbars were dead empty. :cussing:
Has anyone else experienced this? Unfortunately I wasn't backing up my config.xml file before updating. That's where any user-defined stuff is stored. AWTTW.

I don't know why?
I have 4.35 and all my stuff is there.
I have backups of my config file just in case
It's easy to make a copy of your config
It is also easy to export building blocks and variants and save those files.
You do not do backups on your computer?

Busted. I do back up my main files, and I keep prior app versions when I update, but the config.xml is somewhat hidden. Rest assured it's on the backup list now. I'm slow but frustration is a great teacher. :icon_biggrin:
And I notified Bane about it and sent him the old config.xml file, which he said caused the problem. Haven't heard back yet. If I do, I'll update this.

I have the windows location listed in one of the post at the top of this boardOn my W10 desktop, the config is in this folder
C:\Users\USER NAME\diylc

Update: When Bane looked at my config file it turned out to have been truncated by the update process (unknown why). He has fixed it since. My 4.36 update ran fine and DIY opens as usual now. He also took my suggestion to add an internal timestamp to the config file after updating.
FYI: I'm on a MacBook Pro now running Ventura 13.3.1 as of this date.
