Title: I Got the Six - ZZ Top
Post by: EL34 on March 21, 2023, 07:30:18 am
I have some new software that can extract single instruments out of songs
I make backing tracks for me to play along with

RipX is the software - https://hitnmix.com/

I extracted Drums, Bass and Dusty's vocals from ZZ Top's I Got The Six, from the Eliminator album

Here's my take on I Got The Six
I did the guitar parts on this tune with a big fat guitar sound

Wow!  That really sounded incredibly fantastic!!  Great job!

Super job on the guitar playing.  I would not have known it wasn't Billy G playing if you had not said something about your playing? Remarkable!

Appreciate your posting it!  Thanks!  I think you keep getting better and better with your sound clips.   :icon_biggrin:

Did you use the Kemper or one of your amps to record it?

With respect, Jeff

Yep, that's my Kemper
I used RipX to extract the drums, bass and vocals into separate files
I dropped those 3 files into Mixcraft and recorded my guitar parts

That Kemper has a great recording tone.  Pretty impressed with that.  You've come up with a remarkable system of doing these recordings! Well done!

Thanks for the info!

BG would be envious of your tone.
