Found a Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin Air speaker in the trash, tweeters crushed, no power, signs of a previous repair. attempt..
Just for the fun on it (and practicing), can I convert this into a cabinet / passive speaker somehow? Even if just using the 2x mids and woofer?
Woofer is 50W 7 Ohm
Mids are 25W 4 Ohm

Go for it. You got nothing to lose.

Ok , the thing has 3 boards inside, PS, comms (wifi…) and the ‘music happens here’ one (picture)
Unfortunately the speakers crossover filters are integrated in that board
So I see 2 options, get just H/M/L crossovers and make a passive speaker or get a 2.1 cheap Chinese Bluetooth amp as well and have an active speaker

Except time better spent doing something else . . .
No right answer here, but I don't see the attraction unless you just want to have fun making the thing work. But that's me. Honestly, when I see surface mount components, I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling.
If you have the right tools, knowledge and attitude for this, well then . . .

Where did this quote come from??? Not from this thread.

Just for fun, and learning, and also because the thing is really nice looking, grills are in great shape
I will not try to repair the boards, no tools or knowledge…
I’m thinking of putting one of these in there

But I understand I still need the crossover filters
(I can’t find a 2.1 module that has amp and filters in the same board)

OK, first off, apologies for quoting my mother for something she told me in 1964, and not following the rules. My bad.
Back to your issue: you could drop in "full range" drivers without a crossover network. See: https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/fullrange/ (https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/fullrange/). Granted, you're in the UK, but it should give you an idea of the variety of speaker size and power handling available. I'd bet there are similar UK outlets for similar audio components.
I'm fairly new to HiFi audio building, but have been astonished at the components available.

Get over it Eunice! Everybody does it.
