Good day. I picked up a 1973 traynor equalizer recently and after some servicing it works and sounds great. Question is this unit has a 2 prong cord. Would it benefit me to upgrade to 3 prong? There is a ever so slight ground hum. Thanks.

Because it is an unbalanced signal a 2 prong cord should be sufficient?

A 3-prong power cord may actually give you a ground loop.

I'll keep it as is then. Thanks.
