Title: How to change boot screen icon on new Mac mini Pro?

I bought a Mac mini Pro, with M2 chip, macOS Ventura 13.3.1. Got all the upgrades, plenty fast.  :icon_biggrin:

I'm doing pretty well with it, my 1st Mac. I was able to move my favorites list, files, etc.

But I can't figure out how to change the boot screen icon picture above the login box. Searched and searched and tried what they said, but, can't seem to change it.
At 1st it was a green tennis ball, now it changed itself to a ying/yang pic.  :BangHead:    :cussing:
Changing the wall paper screen once I'm logged in is easy. 
Any help will be greatly appreciated.     :happy2: :happy1:

It's confusing, I agree.   

Open "System Settings", the icon with the gears inside.

On the left, at the top, is your name with a picture (hopefully this is the one you want to change) with "Apple ID" underneath.   Click on this.

Now on the right, you should be seeing the picture at the top.    Place your mouse cursor over the picture.  You should see an "Edit" -- so if you click on this, you will be able to change the picture.

I was a heavy windows user at work, but my daughters insisted that we would be a Mac home, and of course now I'm a real Apple fan boy.  It ain't perfect, but it is consistent.

Glad to help.

I have a Mac Mini 2018 (Intel based), which is very good for me, but I see the specs on the M2 version and it is amazing.

It's only the 2nd computer I've bought. Bought my 1st ~15 years ago, a PC. Just bought my 1st cell phone too, a refurb Apple I12.  :laugh:  I'll be able to sync the 2 together. 

I wanted to get something with high enough specs that would last a while, this Apple should.

I'm catching on pretty quickly to it so far. A lot of it is very similar to my PC, so I'm not really lost. :icon_biggrin:
