Title: Works on Mac M2 chip
Post by: Willabe on April 14, 2023, 09:07:28 am
Just got my 1st Mac, mini Pro M2 chip. I downloaded the OS version.

It opened for me on the 2nd try. 1st attempt to open said no, 3rd party, might be malware, something very close to that. Tried a 2nd time, drop down box asked 'are you sure you want to open this.' I clicked on yes and it opened.

Seems to be working fine so far.

Windows does that too.
They want to make sure you really want to install the software if it is not a Microsoft ok'd

In System Settings, looking down the left side of the list, there is a section labelled "Privacy and Security."  When you click on that, on the right side of the settings app, scroll down until you see "Security"  (see screenshot) and make sure it is set to App Store and identified developers.  It is very possible that it is set already.

Sometimes, you will need to allow disk access for various programs. . .
