Title: Runnin 120VAC leads near the preamp section?
Post by: joesatch on April 16, 2023, 11:29:34 am
Space issue on the chassis. I need to install a 14vAC PT for DC heaters above the preamp section outside chassis. (2204 style). The AC leads for the PT will be running along the inside chassis to the other side where the mains are(the AC  leads  will be running under the pots against the edge of the chassis). What issues will i encounter?

What is the need for this? Why not just install a 6.3VAC filament PT?

Whatever the secondary......He still wants to run 120VAC right near the preamps.

Seems a bad idea to me.
