Title: Triumph Audio Oscillator - Schematic?
Post by: bankeny on April 18, 2023, 09:06:44 am
I have a really cool looking Triumph Model 220 Audio Oscillator that I'm hoping someone might have a schematic for.

I know enough about tube amps to be dangerous and this one has me scratching my head in a few places.

It has two 6AU6 tubes, two 6AQ5 tubes and a 6X4 rectifier.

Thanks!

What was it built to do and what do you want to do with it?  With those tubes it might have the makings of a decent small amp conversion.  How about posting some pictures, top and bottom, might generate some ideas here.

Small guitar head would be the end goal.

What's confusing me the most is what I think is the output transformer only has 3 wires.  SE with parallel output tubes?

The other small transformer appears to be a choke.

I did hook it up to an 8ohm cab and was able to get a faint sound from it.  (The output is labeled 600ohm)

This is a terrible candidate for conversion to a guitar amp. It's a signal generator. Respect it for what it is.

Agree. Make a nice bookend.
