Title: Never use Super 77 on tolex!!!
Post by: Jalmeida on May 20, 2023, 01:43:22 pm
 :cussing:

I have used water based weldwood with decent results in the past. I have had pretty good luck with brush on 1300L contact cement. And used super 77 with fabric. That released and bubbled in areas. Now my AC15 has lifted on every single edge and corner. And I was extremely meticulous to follow the instructions using a timer. This stuff is trash. Hasn’t always been this bad. Guessing they changed formula. Just a warning to everyone.

it could depend on the fund that found the glue

thing that happens if you paint a wall or a car with an incompatible paint on what is already present on the piece to be painted

To clarify, specifically don’t use the low VOC Super 77. The industrial strength(not the lowered VOC) Super 90 works perfect! The low VOC Spray adhesives are not all well marked.
