Title: tin knockin
Post by: shooter on May 29, 2023, 03:14:56 pm
Metal work is NOT my strong suit
a design flaw from 20yrs ago needed addressing, I made the corner a point, but only 1 inch of roof overhang, fortunately for some reason I used 2" X 10" fascia  :l2:  (see bullnose to left of copper roll)  so damage was not structural.
the roof point now sticks out about 5".  my plan is to make n mount a copper, 8" - 10" "funnel" using a copper pipe, flanged and screwed to the "new corner" n flange n bolted to the funnel.

the copper is 20Ga, 32Mil. 12" X 10' weighs in at a pound a foot!!!  still have a 2nd corner to cut n box in, then i'll work on the funnels.
OSHA was busy so I simply authorized the portable scaffolding n ladder arrangement myself  :icon_biggrin:
