Hi all, I'm back to cause a little more chaos :icon_biggrin:
Someone wants me to turn my wendigo preamp into a full amplifier, so I said ezpz i'll just steal the backend off a mesa boogie dual rectifier. 100w quad bottle baby.
Now you may think I am overcompensating for something with the heater supply. I am. I will spin up a PCB for the power supply but I want to build the rest of the amp point to point. I don't want any funny business with noise coming off the heater lines.
I do think I am going to have a really hard time sourcing a transformer with 45VA rated 6.3v lines but we will get there when we get there (dedicated heater tranny perhaps?).
Does anyone see any immediate problems with this circuit? Am I thinking too hard again with the full DC heater lines?
I'll post the mesa boogie schematic I heisted the design from as well.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
