I was going through my shed today looking for something else and ran into this. I had forgot I ever had it. A friend had gave it to me several years ago. I have a big random bundle of CC resistors I got from flea markets years ago. When I'm running short a resistor I have to rummage through the whole bundle to try to find what I need. So I put 2 and 2 together when I found the tray and just decided to organize all my old CC resistors. Took a long time, and it's not perfect because one tray is missing, but I should have an easier time locating a resistor when I get in a bind!
I was looking for some 1K/.5 watt the other day and couldn't find any, here I turned up 33 and they are all in good tolerance plus a few 470K's

Too late now, but the labels are not carved in stone, are actually falling off.
Re-label in ranges.
under 1 Ohm
1-19 20-49 50-99
100-199 200-490 500-999
1k-1.9k 2k-4.9k 5k-9.9k
10k-19k 20k-49k 50k-99k
100k-190k 200k-490k 500k-990k
1Meg-22Meg Over 22Meg
That's only 18 bins and you have 32 bins? Instead of 2:1-2.5:1 spreads you could go 1.5:1 spreads:
1-1.49 1.5-2.19 2.2-3.29 3.3-4.9 5-7.4 7.5-9.9

Good Idea! Might re-work it on a rainy day. I found a whole other bundle of CC in the 1-2 watt range. I really need to rework it to include them.
