I've got this ancient Thomas Vox wah pedal. The original wah pedal board sounded somewhat harsh to me and it eventually stopped working and so I rebuilt it with someone's design and was never happy with it. It didn't have much "wah" which perhaps could've been an error on my part but I never could get it resolved.
I figured out I could gut it and rebuild it re-using a few parts and adding a few for about $30 so that's what I did. I used a tagboard that I already had. The inside doesn't look that great but it sounds great to me.
I love it. Very smooth sounding compared to the other ones. Not harsh at all. And it seems to wah the mid tones better, IMO instead of just primarily the high frequencies.
If someone has an old wah not working, this might be a consideration for you?

This has an on/off light with it.
