I came across this vintage SVT with a 600 ohm input. Looks very rare to have that. What would be the need for one?
Thanks

600Ω is an industry standard impedance for many audio circuits, especially those that may have to travel long distances such as telco, air traffic control communications, etc. You can plug into that jack and listen to the president's private phone calls.

But seriously, folks: Vocal mixer has a line output which you feed to a Power Amp Line Input.
It may just be a resistor pad into the guitar jack switch finger.
Is it really 600 Ohms? Who cares? Any mixer above the Tandy $13.98 job won't care.

Thanks for helping me understand! Possibly an input for high out put basses.
