Interesting story (https://www.guitarworld.com/news/gibson-lost-guitar-amp-effects-pedal-archive-found-ebay)
"Long story very short, we recovered the entire Gibson Brands amplifier and effects archive from 1936-1969... filled with schematics, blueprints, parts lists, work instructions, promo photos, frequency analyses, notes, memos, and more.”
Hopefully, these will find their way to us amp nerds...

Same Gibson who sues anybody making a triangular guitar and hints at a "V" shape?

I've worked on a few old Gibsons and Epiphones over the years. Interesting amps. Never even occurred to me that I might get sued, even when I gutted them (only the ones that were beyond repair) and rebuilt them with "other" innards.

There's more info than I'll ever need in this Gibson Master Service book. It's a 173MB file...

Gibson produced a design a friend and I invented - the Thunderbolt. Was just a couple, but maybe I should call a US lawyer?

A lot of the schematics are probably available, but I think I would find the "work instructions" fascinating. Tube amp history is fading rapidly. It won't be long before everyone from that era is gone (if they aren't already).

Some of us are still around. Did you look at the link I posted? Lots more info than just a schematic.

A friend gived me that file and I sent it to Doug
I'm happy I dit it

I downloaded it, but I haven't had a chance to take a look at it yet. Thanks for the link (and thanks for the file Franco!).
