I build this great amplifier, which is a two final tube version of the Orange TH-30 with small modifications. The schematic, which I had a hard time finding, was love at first sight. Two separate channels controlled with footswitch, excellent clean sound, and the great sounding shape pot on the dirty channel.
It's important to know that the schematics that are available contain few errors. The B parts of V2 and V4 are drawn upside down. I have successfully fixed this error.
I only use two tubes in the final stage, which is perfectly enough for a 12 inch cabinet. That's why I dared to name this clone TH-18.
Some small changes were also made in the power supply for eliminate hum successfully.
I think it was worth the trouble, the amplifier works very well.

A pair of questions
Where did you find the back chromed grid and that spring retainer for the pair of power tubes ?
THANKS

The back chromed grid I „borrowed” it from a tool presentation panel. Unique piece :)
I made this spring retainer myself. It was easy

👍
I saw it is something nice but unusual
Thanks

Hi everyone. I rebuilt the previous amplifier which was supposed to be the 18w version of the Orange TH-30.
It got a new look, similar to the Orange family design, and I named it Dexter. I solved the effects part with a transistor module. I added half of the freed tube to the clean channel to balance the clean and dirty channels. I added a Mid boost switch, which works really well, and an adjustable boost switch pedal.
I hope I finally finished this project. It really sounds hot now.

Well done. Nice clean build. There is a heck of alot going on in there and you've done super well to get it all organised and neat. Also the cab! Hats off!

Thank you so much. I'll share the layout as well, but it's still a bit incomplete.
