Title: Unusual capacitor values
Post by: jada3909 on September 27, 2023, 12:58:26 pm
Hello,
I'm dealing with an old schematic that shows capacitor values unlike I've ever seen before. For example:
005 MFD
I get the MFD part but there is no decimal point shown. Could it be 0.005uF? Has anyone dealt with this in an old schematic?
Thank you!

If you can't find a reasonable replacement cap, .0047uF are easily available and likely within spec of the older .005uF (which were often +/- 10-20%).
