Title: Hoffman Stout W/Reverb flipped layout
Post by: mresistor on October 08, 2023, 01:53:27 pm
Hand drawn   I just tried to post the picture with some text and of course lost all of it because I didn't copy the text so I'll do that again after this photo.

comments please    going into a Vox AC15CC1 chassis. Narrow deep and long.

Ok got the pic resized.
Bear in mind the following please:

The board will be shifting to the left some so the hookup wires will be shifting in their routing to the right.
I know there will be hookup wires crossing and am thinking it won't be a problem. The filament wires are laying down in the chassis ala 5E3 style, the hookup wires will be routed over the top of the tubes. If necessary I will use shielded wire for some hookup wiring.
The K R&C will be mounted off the board near the power tube sockets.
The PS node voltage dropper resistors will be mounted in the PS area as the board is max 2 1/2 inch in width.
The MV will be either Type 3 or Lar Mar and will be wired in later I don't think it will alter the layout.
Also the gain switch and maybe a 500Ka gain adjust pot are not wired in and if you see that is may alter the layour please let me know.
The pot order is changed to position the dwell and mix together.
There is a SS full wave rectifier and I wanted to use and EZ81 but I don't know the 6.3 vac winding specs of the Sanecore Chinese made power transformer. I do have a Hammond 290CZ available that has a 4 amp rating for the 6.3 vac winding.
I have debated using axial mount PS filter caps to save some space but had planned on using the new Mod filter caps.

This is not the final layout drawing   I realize that I can uncross a few of the hookup wires by altering the layout , like swapping plate resistors for a given tube for instance.

Not sure why you are hand drawing one of my layouts?
All you have to do is take the original and flip it in a photo editor program
This is flipped vertically

Yes sir, thank you, I have one just like that.  But the tubes are then backwards and have to be reversed. Pots have to be changed too.

Was wanting my drawing to be looked over for errors or anything else. Would appreciate it.

Anything can be flipped horizontally or vertically in a image programYou can chop up the original and piece it back together any way you want.
Glad you got it sorted out
