Recent "open mic', a friend and I did. I put together a medley of 3 different compositions (one which I wrote) with Over The Rainbow in the middle of it. My friend is playing lead.

I'm playing my HoSo56 6BM8 amp "the Minimalist" HoSo56 minimalist (el34world.com) (https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=17863.0) I had it dialed in to get more of a mid/warm tone but it can get a bright fenderish tone also.

Very nice.... Always liked that song.
I want to build a 6BM8 amp someday, so cool to get power and PI in one tube.
Is the amp to your left on floor?
I especially like the djembe guy drinking and playing, after all he does have two hands.

Yes, the amp was to my left. Both guitar and amp I built. So far that amp which is maybe 7-9 watts has had enough volume to play open mics off and on in different settings without ever needing to be mic'd.

Very nice cabinet
What speaker did you use?

Emminence Legend 1058 and I feel like it's an excellent match for this amp design. I enjoy the tone it gives.

Assuming you are refer to matching speaker performance/tone to amp (and not impedance matching)
What advice do you offer to "match" speaker to amp

Yes, I was referring to tone which is my primary consideration in matching. It should be noted some amps can get by with something of a mismatch on impedence. Dumble did that with some of his amp designs.
