How do we wire toggle switchs?
2 seperate input channels
DPDT on-on switch
-
That works. You could have used a SPDT switch.

Any reason your duallite looks different, would copying your schem work using those grounds?
My switch is on/on DPDT or should it be SPDT?

Well your simple diagram is only using one half of the switch, ie, one pole. Therefore a SPDT would do the job.
It's not clear if the "HOT" lead is an input or output. If it's an output and the CH1 and CH2 are coming from, for example, two preamps that you want to send via the HOT to a phase inverter then your simple drawing works just fine.
But if the "HOT" lead comes from a single input jack that you wish to send to either CH1 or CH2 preamps, then wire the DPDT switch as shown in my Dual Lite. By wiring the other pole center lug to ground and cross connecting the outside lugs, the unselected CHANNEL input will be grounded, keeping the noise down on the unselected channel.

@sluckey
I wired your PPIMV mod for dual lite

My cut is acting like a volume more than cutting any frequencys...
Its wired exactlly as suggested...flummoxed why, any ideas?

Works on paper. Did you try the cut pot before you added the MV? Turn the MV all the way up. Does cut work now? Did you use a .0047µF cap? Are you sure it's wired like the drawing?

Problem solved, must have been soldering error on my behalf...(Don't know what I'd do with out this forum)
Build nearly finished in time for Xmas

What did you do?

What did you do?
May have overheated 4700pf poly cap, was cutting in and out on wiggle in conjunction with weak solder joint no doubt....
