Title: 6AU8 for PP and PI
Post by: scstill on January 09, 2024, 12:10:33 pm
Thinking of a experimenting with two 6AU8a configured in push pull and long tail
Each tube has a sharp pentode and triode

Spec says keep impedance low on pentode cathode to reduce cross coupling (how low?)
Thinking if I run grid around -1v could get gm (gain?) close to el84
Triode has gain of a 12ay7

What do you think? anyone do this before?

You might want to take a look at the ideas here:   Low watt p/p amp gallery (el34world.com) (https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=12526.0)
