Title: 6g15 Fender reverb unit
Post by: Colas LeGrippa on April 26, 2024, 11:12:47 am
Hi my friends,I plan to build a Fender external reverb unit and I am wondering if I can substitute the 6k6gt tube for another one  (eg 6V6gt) with the same efficiency.
Thanks for comments

Could you add tremolo with this 6AV6 circuit based on Rob Rob's 1/2 tube circuit?  I have been thinking about building one but I would like tremolo too.

Yes, and decrease the cathode resistor for the 6V6 (1k is way too cold).

Do I have the pinout right for the 6AV6?

If you are dreaming of adding tremolo, take a look at Hoffman's Revibe.

1K works very well in Revibe

1kΩ works very well in the original 6G15 reverb units.

They don't need "max power output" (1 watt +/- is good enough), and they need to not-distort even on strong signals (the schematic shows 24v of bias).
