Title: 1980 peavy foot switch
Post by: Snake5150 on May 09, 2024, 06:48:16 pm
I have a 1980 peavy deuce vt. I’m attempting to rebuild the foot switch I don’t have. I have gotten the reverb and phaser on off switches to work, but can’t for the life of me figure out the channel selector combiner switches.

It has a 6 pin din socket. I’m pretty sure I have pinned it out correctly. I believe a din socket is 1-5 going clockwise. So the cable end pin out is reversed. The alignment notch is at the bottom. I have the schematic for the amp with their crummy foot switch wiring for reference. At the bottom of page 2 I believe. Thank all.

Their crummy foot switch wiring looks simple and straightforward to me.

My frustration got ahead of me with that statement. I’m pretty convinced that I have the pinout wrong. Or am maybe using the wrong type of switch. I am using 1 side of a dpdt as the switches. I think the first switch might need to be different. I’ve also come across supposed pinouts that don’t seem to match.

The selector switch must be a SPDT and the other switches are just SPST. You could use four DPDT switches for all.
