I thought I'd share this in case anyone else has an interest in trying this idea on their amp.
I wanted a "tube retainer" for my 6BM8 tubes hanging upside down in a tweed style combo cab.
I used drill bits, cut off wheel on a dremel tool and paper clips. Maybe took 20 minutes for each of them.
I've got enough time on the amp now using these to think they will work out well. There is almost no contact of the paper clips to the glass of the 6BM8 tubes.

Well done Tubenit. 6BM8s are my favorite low power tubes. I have them upright in amps I've built. But I also have a Gibson GA-8T with 6BM8s inverted, held in place by friction only. I have long wondered it they would ever fall out, and have thought of adapting IERC type shields.
Someone here in another thread wrote that Marshall's greatest contribution to amps was building them right-side-up. :icon_biggrin:
