Title: Noisy circuit germanium overdrive
Post by: uki on June 05, 2024, 12:45:08 pm
Hey guys im putting together this EHX Germanium OD

It does work but i got a constant high pitch noise it does change when turning the bias pot, its 250k atm, cos i dont have a 100k,

couldnt find the 62k resistors so there are 68k in place

gain and volts pots working.

I put those beads in the input and output but no change.

follow the schematic and a pic of the breadboard

how to get rid of that noise ?

Thanks in advance !

Problem solved.

Rearenged the components in the board, add a filter cap 1kuf from V to ground and a ferrite bead in series with V . no more noise  :icon_biggrin:
