Title: Deluxe Reverb to Single Channel w/ No FX Voltage Question
Post by: Thisismyname on June 05, 2024, 07:52:00 pm
This amp used to be a AB763 DR Clone. Then it was a genuine pig for mods while I learned about amps. A mess of circuitry. Now I need it for gigging at lower volume with pedals. I need simplicity (which I've found is best anyway) The preamp and FX are already removed from the amp.

The easiest and cheapest method would be to turn it into a DR normal channel preamp going into the stock power amp etc. I'll add a tone stack bypass control for extra gain if I need it. Vibrato channel, reverb, and tremolo circuits would be excluded.

My question is this: since the DR already has pretty high voltages, do I have to worry about even higher voltages with all those other circuits being absent? Would it be a problem?
