Title: deluxe reverb II volume/channel switching pot
Post by: dsones on July 30, 2024, 07:25:48 pm
I can't figure out how the volume/channel switching pot works from looking at the schematic or wiring diagram.  I'm trying to build a deluxe reverb II clone.  What current manufactured pot could be used for the volume/channel switching pot?  Thanks

Can you post the schematic?

Could you tell us why you chose to build this particular amp model ?

It's not an easy one, and you don't seem to have much experience.

I chose to build this amp because it has reverb, two channels, and is similar in sound to my champ II which I love.  I've built about 10 vintage amps (champ, princeton, bassman, mojotone studio one, some of the rob robinette micro amps, etc.) without any problems.  The deluxe reverb II has some components I haven't come across before.

Thank's for the answer.
You have the knowledge to built this amp .

What do you think about the 1 meg pot SPDT I shoe you ?

See schematic. I show you a one will fit

Original part number are never useful.

You can use a the DPDT switch

The problem with it is it has a 7mm bushing  so it would work fine if you haven't drilled a hole yet,  if the mounting hole is already drilled and is for a 3/8 bushing then you will have to get creative.

You are talking about the 1 meg volume with DPDT.
With more search can we found a 3/8 size ?

My bad, you are correct.

My bad, you are right

Update ; amp need a SPDT not SPST like this one

No that won't work for the channel switching. That is a SPST   what he needs for the channel switch is a 1M pot with either a SPDT switch or a DPDT switch we talked about above.
Latole you posted the CED/AES page above that has the correct pot w/switch and I mentioned it has a 7mm bushing   its the right part if it can be mounted on the chassis.

note; CE Distribution, Antique Electronic Supply and TubesandMore  are all the same company.

Yes, the switch I posted was a SPST switch.
That is not the correct switch.  My bad.
