I have just completed my build of SLuckey’s 1960 Vox AC-15. I included 4 of the 5 modifications he also has with his documentation. They are: More Brilliance, Delta Tremolo/Vibrato, Standby Plus, and Channel Select Switch (the last mod).
I made the following changes for my amp:
I used the Hammond 1750Y output transformer to match my Celestin Blue 15W speaker
I replaced the Vibrato/Tremolo toggle switch with a jack and foot switch.
I installed two 1 ohm 10W resistors connected to pin 3 of V7 and pin 3 of V8 to the R60 and C39.
My first issue is the Channel Select Switch makes a loud pop when I change channels. I am not sure how to solve this issue.
My second issue is with the channel 2. The tremolo is very faint. Is there any way to increase the tremolo volume?
I have not been able to determine what the original foot switch and the Vibrato/Tremolo switch change. When I turn them “On”, grounding them there is almost no noticeable difference in the sound. What do these two switches do?
My last issue is that I would like to install a red LED in the oscillating circuit similar to the Warbler, but am not sure where to place it and any components I would need to add or delete.
Thank you for any assistance.

the RED LED would replace R59 n C38 on the schematic i'm looking at.
roll a bunch of tubes through the trem circuit, you need a strong tube

Is sluckey's web site still up?
Anybody have the link to it?

Thanks Shooter for the LED solution. I will try some other tubes I have for the tremolo circuit.

Hopefully someone will have a solution to the channel select switch popping issue.
