You can do some very good amp design experiments if that thing is up to operating standard.

Hey thanks. Yeah, it is a little dead right now, I guess shipping causes the tubes to rattle loose. But it looks like it should be easily repairable. I bought it from a **very** reliable source, and he did say it was working well before shipping.
As for the Les Paul? The guitar is actually a miniature. The power supply is only 2" high, the LP 3" high... ::)
One of my best scores lately has been real substitution boxes. They are heathkit, and the values have drifted a bit, but wow do those things make life **way** easier. I cannot believe I have lived all these years without them.
