After installing OSX15.1 DIYLC would not open showing the message
The application "Finder" does
not have permission to open
"(null)".
To bypass the finder and open app you must use terminal. Go to the DIYLC app and show package contents. Open the MACOS folder and there will be a file there. Drag it into a terminal window and DIYLC will open.

Didn't work for me. Same error.

Probably the best place to ask these type of questions is in the top post link to Github

Thanks. I'll check it out.

DIYLC does run on Macs just fine.
BUT, over the past couple of years there has been an increase in security effort within MacOS, and with that a number of security changes that I have trouble remembering. It's maddening.
The main thing is to in System Settings>Privacy and Security. From there, scroll down and make sure that under "Security" the button is checked to allow apps to run from the App Store and identified developers.
Scroll up and look in "Files and Folders" and be sure that DIYLC has access. I normally give DIYLC "Full Disk Access" as well.
As I'm writing this, I'm on an older Intel MacBook. The newer Apple silicon computers have similar, but nonidentical measures in place. The ideas are the same, but the System Settings visuals and choices are different.
I haven't found Github to be particularly helpful in this situation due to the fact that the developers mostly run Windows, with Apple as an afterthought (if that!).
If the above does not work, post again and I'll see if I can walk you through the settings on a newer system.

Thanks. I've done all that but still get this error message when I double click the App: The application “Finder” does not have permission to open “(null).”
I'm running Sequoia 15.1.1.

This is a known problem. I downloaded the latest DIYLC and it does not work with the fix above. Go back to version 4.37.0 and this method will work (see attached screenshot.)

Thanks. I"ll check it out.
