scrounging though pile looking for a zip-tie, found this pic
circa '80 still have the coffee cup, by the time I got out in '82 the coffee had etched half dozen holes in the bottom  :icon_biggrin:


building a freq counter, behind it is an I/O board that plugs into my ELF II extension bus

me at 21 sitting at the repair bench in the Radar room, making a freq-counter with my coffee mug look'n smug  :icon_biggrin:

I also worked in radar at Hughes Aircraft for 20+ in the 70-90's
My well used main resource in the day below...

the big search Radars or tracking radars 
I was trained for a short-range pulsed Doppler tracking radar.  the manuals were in 6 volumes, seems every friggin week I'd get "updates"
since I was E5 I could get a competent E1-3 to change out the pages, usually took all day!


I knew I was addicted to electronics, Wayne n I would tweak the sheet outta my system, got it to the point the second it was assigned a track it would auto-lock n track no hands on needed.  That got us "noticed" real quick.  then we were "tasked" with making the other 3 systems better than Factory design.  :BangHead:
