Working on another tube screamer clone that seemed to have grounding issues. After moving a couple of parts around, I got it working but am getting a bad hum. Hooked up another power supply, and the hum is gone. I am getting continuity between the positive and negative on the one spot. I have been using the One Spot for several years without any issues. I plugged it back into my pedal board and am getting the same hum. Could the power supply have some kind of internal short? May have been this way for awhile and I just didn't notice the hum or my hearing is going bad. Anyone else had any issues with the One Spot?
Thanks, Dan

Just checked the review on this pedal and several users have had the hum issue from day one. Any suggestions on a different 9V power supply?

Over the years I've had any number of those inexpensive wall wart type power supplies, and yes they are cheap, and mostly work fine for one pedal at a time. But they don't last.
So, I've had good luck with Strymon, Voodoo Labs and even the 1-Spot Pro series. All of these are robust, and have not caused noise problems for me.
But, they are, of course, more expensive.

Just purchased an Acoustic Power 1 adapter and it is dead quiet even when powering 6 pedals. Was the same price as the 1 Spot and has 2000mA. Will hang onto the receipt to see if it lasts as long as the warranty.
