Hey guys.
Wanted to share with you my recent project: modifying a Marshall Superlead in the vein of a Cameron mod.
Doesn’t sound like it should just yet, and it smells a bit of burning, but I’m excited for this one.
Here’s a clip:
*obviously I’m joking. I bought this “project” amp for $175 from my local store solely for parts (output transformer, choke, chassis, headshell, etc).

I never heard about that mods.

Honestly, I didn’t even try turning it on. Opened it up, noped, and started pulling it apart.

An unbelievable ( and dangerous? ) rats nest. :BangHead:

Wow is that thing even stable. I would spend a couple hours shortening every lead you can. I’ve built a few rats nests in the early days of my amp building. And had a lot of instability issues. But that is ruff.

Oh, once I saw what a mess it was, I set out to completely gut it and salvage what components I could.
