Title: SF bandmaster reverb 71 speaker selection
Post by: MatGir on January 17, 2025, 05:10:48 pm
Hi to all.
I have a Bandmaster Reverb 1971 that a played trought a old peavey 2x12 closed cab (36Hx24Wx11D). The speakers that where in are from an old traynor PA speaker that sounded good but one decided to die. I'm searching for a good speaker pair to replace those. I'm looking for a John Mayer, SRV mixted with Hendrix kinda tone. here's my choice (no order):
1st: Two Rock TR12 (JM Tone)
2nd: EVM12L black label edition ( SRV )
3rd: Celestion G12 Gold (Marshallesque Hendrix -Two Rock JM)

I can't be wrong with one of those 3. What's your opinion for lower-ish volume playing (definitly not bedroom or night playing) ?
other option ?

regards
Mat

Traynor speaker are Marsland brand and they are not very good.
