For the last 2 yrs, I have been trying to learn 2 to 3 new songs a month. I've done pretty good staying with that goal. :icon_biggrin:
It's been great fun learning and recording them! I've been doing mostly soul music, R&B, some jazz oriented stuff and blues. Lotsa old school stuff I grew up with.
Ironically, I am not anxious speaking in front of 200 people, but I'm super bashful doing music in front of 2 people. I've been trying to find the courage to sing at an open mic sometime soon. While I've been doing open mics with a buddy of mine, his vocals are SO much better than mine, I just play rhythm.
I recorded this with my Grote jazz guitar ($200 new) and my Minimalist amp. I've always loved this tune. It's sort of a mix of sappy and cool at the same time, IMO.
I transposed the song to the key of G, and used some C9 and Cadd9 chords instead of C. So, it's not quite like the original arrangement.
