I had a question for tubenit, and sent him a message today. The "green notice" appeared and said my message had been sent.
Later, I went to "My Messages" but found that my message was not present. So I resent the message, thinking maybe I sent it to an incorrect member name. I got the green message again, but again, there is no copy in my message box (yes, I did check that box).
Is there an issue, or is it just me?

Just sent you a PM as a test. Let me know if you get it. :icon_biggrin:

Gmail has a problem with messages from my server.
I don't have time to go through all the hoops that Gmail has
Here's the email I got this morning
MailEnable: Message could not be delivered to some recipients.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Recipient: [SMTP:acheld@gmail.com]
Reason: 550-5.7.25 [64.91.238.131] The IP address sending this message does not have a
550-5.7.25 PTR record setup, or the corresponding forward DNS entry does not
550-5.7.25 match the sending IP. As a policy, Gmail does not accept messages
550-5.7.25 from IPs with missing PTR records.

Thanks for the info!
One of life's little mysteries solved. :icon_biggrin:
I have a couple of other emails -- outlook and iCloud -- do they experience similar issues as gmail?

Your DNS records don't align.
69.167.189.250 resolves as MX record for el34world.com - The PTR record is host. hoffmanamps.com.
Prevent SPAM - align your records! Google is asking you to be a good net neighbor to help curb SPAM.

I definitely want to do the right thing, but have no idea about how/why my DNS records don't "align."
If you could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Not yours - EL34 world - PTR records are hoffmanamps.com - MX record for SAME IP is el34world.com - Those need to match. Other recipients are probably sending EL34world.com emails to spam folder for that reason. They don't reject the SMTP message as Google does, some may treat and flag as spam.
