Title: spliting plate load resistors
Post by: Jonas on February 10, 2025, 08:31:57 pm
Could someone help me understand why the plate load resistors are split as shown in the reverb circuit?

Perhaps to adjust the nominal gain from the stage if a different valve model is used that has higher gain.  Perhaps to bring down the signal gain to better suit following stages.

B+ = Ground from an AC perspective, so it's just a convenient way to build a resistive voltage divider into the plate resistance.  It allows you to cut the signal level while keeping the gain of the triode intact.
