Title: filter cap values, traynor yba4
Post by: colorado on March 05, 2025, 03:45:27 am
Hi there, new member here.
I have a traynor yba 4, I know it needs new output tubes and filter caps, at the very least.

I had a question about filter cap values. Schematic calls for 4 40uf. I'm having a tricky time sourcing 40uf caps in the can type. I can get some f&t 32uf @500 easily. Is that value okay? Any thoughts and opinions welcome.

I'd go with the 50uf versioin of these  https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/capacitor-ft-multi-section-electrolytic

^^^^
also, 47uF is a "basic standard" and probably won't have any real impact over 40uF
