Hi all this 8" speaker came to me in a 1966 Vibrochamp. It definitely is not what should be in the amp.
Codes on it are 58018-1 or -7 hard to tell and 76733 (dot) 3 its a dot up near the top of the numbers
334 appears on the rim 334 is Wells-Gardner Electronics Corp. but I think this is a speaker from another manufacturer could be wrong though
coil measures 3.6 ohms

the only thing I know about speakers;
Does it make the music sound good?
IF yes, keep, IF no, put it to use fishing the lakes
-
It sounds like doo doo (if doo doo could make sound)
I think it's out of a Magnavox console stereo thing or something from the late 60's or 70's.

isn't "doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo" what Doobie Brothers sang in Jesus is Just alright?
That always sounded good (great) to me....

Shooter methinks you know a tad more than that. I have found there isn't much information on this particular gem out there that I can find. It's that last statement that I find odd. How does one "fish the lakes" with a subpar alinico speaker?

cut the "cage" down by 1/2, use 2 of the "supports" bent over as tie-points for 100' of rope, drop into lake, troll slow until "tink" the line starts tugging
walla rusted tackle box from decades gone by

Imagine how much non-ferrous metal is down there with which the magnet would be useless.
So actual "fish" are not in the equation. Sad.

:l2:
FISH, that requires guvmint permission
haven't been magnet fishing in years but did pass on a 15" JBL with a 7" 12lb magnet, ran into the guy 6 months latter, he made about $100 cleaning up 'ol reels n lures n sell'n at flea-markets.
that reminds me, I have about 40lbs of junk CH-a-knees small engines I need to tear-down, guessing aluminum will be up now that it's tariff season.
