Have you heard Ashley Cleveland? She's has some Christian albums and has secular music releases too. Powerful voice, a rocker when she want's it.

Hello Willabe, glad to hear you appreciate the talents of Susan. Also thanks for linking the Angles of Mercy album. I'll need to get that CD. I do 95% of my listening while driving down the road. Susan uses her voice like a guitar player shredding with all her extra ad-lib words and sounds besides singing the normal lyrics in the song that just impresses me. Also the musicians on her albums do some of the most creative, tasty parts, fills and great tones/sounds IMHO. The two albums I have of her are "Awakened by the Wind" and "A Distant Call".

Never heard of Ashley Cleveland before that I remember, but boy she can sing. Shes got the rock/blues edge on those song you linked. I'll keep my eye out for her stuff. Thanks, Platefire

Here is another album by Phil Cagey I use to have on vinyl. I played it until it was literally wore out. His most popular album is"The Master and the Musician". I'm pretty sure Willabe and shooter are familiar with him?? Anyway, if not? Giveit a listen. Here is the whole album

I'll never forget the day I came home from work and my Son was playing the first song "Pilgrims Flight" of the opening acoustic guitar runs note for note just like the record. I was really impressed and very thrilled because I tried to do it and couldn't pull it off myself :dontknow: He stayed with it and turned out to be a great guitar player way above my level---I'm certainly good with that! :icon_biggrin:
