Title: Hoffman BFPR Layout
Post by: bnwitt on July 04, 2025, 05:53:49 pm
Ok, First run on the layout for the Hoffman Princeton Reverb.  Hopefully nothing is wrong.  I'm getting bleary eyed so I'll do a double check tomorrow

This looks good to me and I'm pretty familiar with this layout bc I'm just finishing building one of these using  the Hoffman board.  I left off the tremolo and subbed in a 12DW7 1-tube reverb, and this let me dispense with one 12AX7.  I think this amp is my best yet.  The Hoffman board had something to do with that, I'm sure.  I hope you like yours.

Thanks Lectroid. I'm sure I'll be pleased with this Hoffman AA1164 especially with the added middle control and bright switch.  The Hoffman layouts are so quiet on idle and lack artifacts you get with reissues that I wouldn't use any other layout.

Agreed.

You reminded me that I also added a Mid control to mine.  It's a worthwhile addition if you have the panel space.
