watched a Red Fox this winter go from groundhog hole to groundhog hole, he never came out with anything but the 8 I had last fall is down to 1 now.
my peanut plants are growing great, except 1, it just never got big, looked healthy, looked like all the others that are 5 times bigger, so I pulled the small this morn, here's my 1st crop as peanut man!

Foxes! I have had a Gray Fox hanging around a bit. They have a strange raspy bark when they think your invading their territory. I try to replicate their bark and have got them to answer back and forth. I have tried to be-friend them and I have got within about 20 feet of them before they spring away. There is no continuing source of water year around in branches or creeks, so in August the branch by my house dries up and the wild life seems to disappear probably closer to the stock ponds where there is still water. I have seen them
come up under my security lights late at night and appear to eating bugs drawn to the light. I figure the food supply is really getting thin when they do that. I have left out cat food when I observed them doing this.
On another note, I just learned that there is a solar farm coming in around my property which means the woods around my property will mostly be removed and rows of solar panels will eventually be installed. They are making offers to some residences to buy their property or to buy access rights. They haven't came to see me yet. I have 1.8 acres. The law says they have to give 300 ft of standoff from your property. I had much rather be surrounded by woods than solar panels! I am still trying to process this. Have had thoughts of
moving but that's a big process at my age. The Lord will make a way:>)

this guy is a red fox and his days are numbered if the neighbor see's him, he raises chickens n lost 1/2 his flock to the sneaky fella.
our township called a meeting about 5 years back, seems the windfarm morons wanted to buy up all the farmland, the township wanted input on how to stop it, since you as a property owner do have the right to sell/lease.
township settled on creating an ordinance that no structure could be more than 80' tall, no structure could block the "natural" view of someone else's property.
I've played with wind n solar since the 70's, run a 400W array currently. for a single-family home they have merit, but as a means to "supplement" the grid they are the most expensive, least reliable, form of energy creation. there is more than 200 years of N.G. n oil, the small nukes that powered my ship that would fit inside a 2 car garage could easily replace a 5,000 acre solar farm.
the whole "green" deal is a get rich quick for the already rich.
I believe GOD has been know to rain down hailstorms, if that helps

It;s called the "Forest Trace Solar Project" and encompasses 2900 acres. Here is a link to their page:
https://www.nexteraenergyresources.com/forest-trace-solar/project-overview.html
They're marking the foot print with oval shaped white painted marks on the trees and they are everywhere in my area
-
they misspelled their name;
Forest Trace Solar Project
sounds like they meant "Forest erase solar project" :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
bet you can't wait til your electric bill goes up to "cover costs"

Forest Erase---I Like it :l2: You just re-named it for what it is

there's a theory among some folks that think "evil" must "disclose" it's intent, hidden within the words n phases used.
best "proof" I can find in The Word; "Let those with understanding, discern.."
once you start "seeing" the oddity, it's sorta like seeing the type car you just bought around town far more often than you ever noticed before.
or maybe just a well fertilized mind :icon_biggrin:

Sounds like the sentiments of Hosea 14:9

I spent a career in solar energy, owning multiple solar business over 5 decades. I remain a solar enthusiast. But, there is NO WAY that solar farms should displace forest land! Ironically both solar energy and preserving forest land reduce greenhouse gas emissions. So why have them compete? The answer, of course, is greed. Nextera is a huge company involved in solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, natural gas, oil, pipelines, etc. Their only compass points to $. I agree that solar makes sense in smaller scale. It also makes sense as canopies over huge parking lots, over unfertile lands, shared with farmland, stadium roofs, etc. State and local law should restrict the elimination of forest land. Good luck (meant both sincerely and sarcastically)

That Book was my random-read the other night, flipped open the Bible and landed there!
