I have a Fender footswitch that has separate on/off switches for tremolo and reverb. It has a stereo plug with what I think is called a TRS cable. I wired a stereo jack with tip for vibrato, band for reverb, and ground for ground leads coming from both sources. The switch works fine for the vibrato, but the reverb is Off all the time. I realize that wiring the reverb's "ground" lead to the same ground lug on the jack as the vibrato is the problem, but don't know where else is the best place to wire it? If I wire it to some other ground point, I don't want to get a ground loop.
Help is appreciated.

I should add that I am using isolation washers on the stereo jack, which isolates it from the chassis. Maybe I should remove the ground lead from the Tremolo that is connecting to the ground lug on the jack, and ground it elsewhere, and leave the reverb "ground" lead connected to that "ground" lug. Actually neither of the reverb leads that connect to the jack come from a ground. Both actually are wired into the Reverb Intensity pot.

Experiment. Try it and see

Take a look at how they switch is incorporated into the reissue amps. It's a little different from the vintage ones, but it works well.

I got it all hooked up without any problems. Pretty simple. I had been expecting issues with grounding, but didn't have any. The TRS plug and stereo jack worked fine. I had been using separate jacks and plugs, but wanted to eliminate all the wires for cable splitters. Anyway, thanks for your input.
This is an effects unit similar to a ReVibe. I haven't used it in about 9-10 months because of some remodeling and didn't have easy access to the equipment, so just let it sit and not turned on. When I finally turned it on a couple of days ago, it started up ok and then after it warmed up it started crackling and got real noisy, so I turned it off. I restarted it a day later and was better, but still seems to have some similar noise when I start it up. It didn't have that before. Do you think it is just because it had been sitting so long and maybe some of the components need to "exercise" a bit? It's only 4 years old, so I don't think anything needs replacing at this stage.
