The amp is solid state, but this question pertains the designed 4A and 6A series mains fusing for the Amp. Not clear as to why this would be done. I intend to change the fusing such that the Aux outlet and Amp are both fused and in parallel. Is there a reason that I should not change it? Thanks.

Yes there is a reason.

I would leave the fuse wiring alone. There's no reason to fuse the convenience outlet. Did you notice that the internal fuse is bigger than the external fuse? That means that under a normal overload situation, the external fuse should fail first. But suppose the external fuse blows and some numbskull replaces it with a 15A fuse, or worse, wraps the blown fuse with aluminum foil and attempts to play on. That internal fuse may just save the amp from an expensive repair. A good man once said, "I would leave the fuse wiring alone." :icon_biggrin:
