Title: Benson Monarch Reverb tone switch

Hi all,

This is the US/UK tone switch off a Benson Monarch Reverb. Can anyone explain why it calls for a DPDT instead of an on/off SPST? Seems like that would work fine to me, but what do I know.

The DPDT allows you to mount all components on the extra switch lugs. There will be no dangling components with flying wires.
