Title: Fusion 360
Post by: rake on March 20, 2026, 03:22:00 am
Hey Guys, I'm trying to learn fusion 360 for 3D modeling.
Mostly for necks, fretboards and bodies with contours.
The YouTube videos can be hit or miss. Some of them are like
trying to listen to your 5 year old nephew telling a joke!
If any of y'all know of a good series of tutorials let me know please!
I've got a little 3040 prover I was using for smalls like inlays and have
had good luck with Carbide Create (free) but decided to build a bigger machine
(36x36) for bodies, necks and other stuff! The old hands just don't like all that carving anymore!
Drilling out turret boards could be a good thing too!  :icon_biggrin: :think1:

I use my 3040 for my turret boards.  I wrote up a tutorial a while back (when mine was still a 3018), in case you're interested.  Here it is.  Hope it's helpful!
