Title: 5f2a reverb design
Post by: tomojt on May 21, 2026, 06:40:24 am
hi, im planning on building a pretty heavily modified 5f2a/5f1/ga5.a and im wondering if i should ad a spring reverb to it cuz i like my reverb in the amp and i actually wanna use this amp daily.
the thing is i dont want to add any tubes to it. i figured a jfet buffer going from the 22nf coupling cap after the second 12ax7 triode going into a tda2030 spring tank driver. the recovery circuit would be a tl072 simple op amp and then a mix pot with a mixing resistor. The whole thing would basically be in a parallel fx loop if i understand it correctly.

thats is my current plan on doing it but i wanted any suggestions or comments on this and if this would even work.
ive attached a screenshot from my schematic and have drawn onto it the concept how id insert it in.

im happy to hear any comment or critique.
thanks
