Title: Using multiple output taps simultaneously?

Let’s say my output transformer has 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps. Can I connect an 8 ohm speaker to the 8 ohm tap and a 16 ohm speaker to the 16 ohm tap at the same time?

To me no

If you do that it halves the reflected impedance to the primary the same way as you connect a 4 ohm speaker to the 8 ohm tap or an 8 ohm speaker to the 16 ohm tap

What you can do is connect a 16-ohm speaker to the 8-ohm tap and a 32-ohm speaker to the 16-ohm tap simultaneously.
If a 32-ohm speaker isn't available, two 16-ohm speakers wired in series can be connected to the 16-ohm tap instead

That makes sense. It’s like having two 8 ohm speakers connected to the 8 ohm tap
